Message from NHS Tayside

A number of blue vaccination appointment letters have been sent in error to housebound patients. We would ask any housebound patient who has received a letter to cancel their appointment,

Covid and Flu Vaccinations 2021

Patients aged over 70 or within the clinically vulnerable category (shielding)

· Patients aged 70 years and over (as at 1st September 2021)
· Those patients who are clinically extremely vulnerable (who would shield for Covid purposes)

If you fall into either of these groups, you will receive a letter through the post advising you of an appointment for your covid booster, the flu vaccine can be done at the same time if you request it at the centre you are appointed to.

If the appointment is not suitable please follow the instructions on the letter to rearrange your appointment.

Housebound

Patients who are housebound will also be contacted by the Community Vaccination Team shortly.

Other Ages and Risk Groups

Other age and risk groups, i.e. those patients aged 65-69 years, 18-64 years at risk, unpaid carers, health and social care professionals and those patients in residential care, will be vaccinated via central clinics and information about this for these groups will follow soon.
